Ajay Devgn, Dil Raju join forces for Hindi remake of Telugu film Naandhi 

The courtroom drama was quite successful at the box office, ending Allari Naresh’s 11-year wait for a hit. 

The Telugu film Naandhi, a courtroom drama-thriller, is set to be remade in Hindi. Ajay Devgn, who will be bankrolling the movie with Dil Raju, took to Twitter to announce the project on Friday. The cast and crew will be finalized and announced soon.

It is still not clear whether Ajay will also star in the film. Naandhi revolves around undertrial prisoners who languish in jails awaiting judgment. Allari Naresh played the central character while Varalaxmi Sarathkumar was seen in a key role. 

Sharing the news, Ajay tweeted: “Time to share an important story with all! @DilRajuProdctns and @ADFFilms are all set to produce the Hindi remake of the Telugu hit, Naandhi!”

One of the earliest releases of the year, Naandhi was quite successful at the box office, ending Allari Naresh’s 11-year wait for a hit. 

Upon release, Allari Naresh’s performance was extremely well received while Varalaxmi’s lawyer character was equally appreciated. 

It is interesting to note that this will Dil Raju’s third project in Hindi. He’s also associated with the Hindi remakes of the Telugu films Jersey (2019) and HIT (2020)
