The trailer of the upcoming Hoichoi series Dujone attempts to depict the popular onscreen pair Srabanti Chatterjee and Soham Chakraborty in completely new avatars. The refreshing look of the project as well as the interesting roles that allow the artistes to break away from their image in mainstream films pique one's interest.

Directed by Promita Bhattacharya, the thriller promises to deal with the psychological issues of a couple, Amar (Chakraborty) and Ahana (Chatterjee), in great depth. The trailer begins with Ahana expressing her inability to deal with sudden changes in Amar, with whom she has been in love for a long time. After a few flashback visuals of their happy past, the trailer shows glimpses of an accident that brings about a change in his persona.

As Ahana tries to get to the root of the sudden transformation in Amar, the trailer suggests that the mishap is not entirely responsible for his metamorphoses.

It is refreshing to see Chakraborty in a mysterious avatar with grey shades while Chatterjee appears to slip into the skin of a character totally unlike the romantic heroine she typically plays.

The trailer not only creates anticipation for groundbreaking performances from the duo in their web debut but also for a complex and engaging thriller.

Dujone will be streamed on Hoichoi from 9 July.

Check out the trailer and let us know if you are keen on watching the series.
