Maai’s Special depicts a mother's sacrifice

Producer Mandakini Kishor Kakade of the Kaak Maay Entertainment banner has announced the upcoming Marathi project, Maai’s Special, a family film directed by Mangesh Nare and written by Kiran Mane and Nitin Savle.
As per the makers, the film looks at the sacrifices made by a mother. “Many a time a person angrily asks, ‘What does a mother do?’ However, without any complaint, she keeps carrying out her responsibilities. She changes herself as per the situation. As a housewife and mother, she never lets her world get into trouble. Taking note of such sacrifices of the mother, Maai’s Special will soon be arriving for the audience,” read a statement by the makers.
The cast of the film is being kept under wraps. The project's release date is also yet to be revealed.
The poster of the film indicates that it is set in a picturesque village in the Konkan region of Maharashtra.
Kakade also has a historical film titled Bahirji in the pipeline.
