Inside Edge, the first-ever original Hindi series by Amazon Prime, was premiered on 10 July 2017 and the second season was released on 6 December 2019. In a nation known for its craze for cricket, the series is immensely popular. In 2018, Inside Edge was also nominated for the 46th International Emmy Awards.
The show, which is centred on a fictional T20 cricket team, Mumbai Mavericks, and their owner’s league-wide spot-fixing syndicate ended with the team being boycotted for two years. In both the series, Vivek played a bookie and Chadha essayed the role of the owner of Mumbai Mavericks.
Interestingly, the logo of the upcoming season has a red ball instead of the white one that usually represents T20 cricket.
The shooting of the third season was completed earlier this month. The makers are yet to announce the streaming date.
