Coronavirus update: Actress Kavitha’s son, Sanjay Roop, dies of COVID-19 complications


He had been in quarantine at home after testing positive for the virus but he was admitted to the hospital after his condition deteriorated.

Sanjay Roop, the son of actress Kavitha Balaji, died of COVIID-19 earlier this week in a private hospital.

Sanjay had been in quarantine at home after testing positive for the coronavirus but he was admitted to the hospital after his condition deteriorated. 

As per reports, Kavitha’s husband Dasaratha Raj is also being treated for COVID-19 in a hospital. 

Kavitha began her career at the age of 11. She made her acting debut in K Vishwanath’s Telugu drama Siri Siri Muvva (1976). She has worked in over 300 films across all Southern languages. 

Some of her best films include Punadhirallu (1979), Sarada Ramudu (1980), Agni Sanskaram (1980), Amma Rajinama (1981), Premabhishekam (1981), Gruha Pravesam (1982) and Prema Pichollu (1983).
