Hoichoi has announced the cast of director Ashfaque Nipun's upcoming Bangladeshi series Mohanagar. The eight-episode show, which features Mosharraf Karim, Zakia Bari Mamo, Shamol Mawla, Mostafizur Noor Imran and Khairul Basar, will be streamed from 25 June.
Mohanagar depicts a night inside a police station in Dhaka and its story revolves around criminals, an eminent industrialist and media persons.
After releasing the poster recently, Hoichoi introduced each character in a series of short films.
Nipun, who has worked with Hoichoi for the film Koshtoneer, said, “It has been a great experience working with Mosharraf Karim, Zakia Bari Momo, Shamol Mawla, Mostafizur Noor Imran, Khairul Bashar, Nishat Priom and others, who have brought life to the characters."
“The trailer of Mohanagar drops on 19 June, and I can’t wait to see the response it gets," he said.
