Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has returned home after spending a couple of days at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. The 98-year old actor was admitted to the hospital after complaining of breathlessness. He underwent a pleural aspiration procedure, before being discharged on Friday.

The news was confirmed by Faisal Farooqui, who handles the legendary actor's social media. He tweeted, "With your love and affection, and your prayers, Dilip Saab is going home from the hospital. God's infinite mercy and kindness through Drs Gokhale, Parkar, Dr Arun Shah and the entire team at Hinduja Khar (sic)."

The veteran has been in ill health for the last couple of years and is being cared for by his wife, actress Saira Banu. Kumar was also visited by Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar during his stay at the Hinduja Hospital.

There were rumours surrounding the Mughal-e-Azam (1940) star's health, but family and friends have debunked them.
