Shooting begins for second season of She, starring Aaditi Pohankar; see video

Netflix has announced that the second season of She, starring Aaditi Pohankar, has gone on the floors.

The crime drama, produced by Tipping Point, the digital content brand of Viacom18 Motion Pictures, has been created and written by Imtiaz Ali, who is also the showrunner.

The second season is being directed by Arif Ali.

Pohankar returns as undercover police officer Bhumika Pardesi who takes to the streets of Mumbai as she continues her perilous journey enforcing the law while pretending to be a prostitute. According to a press release, the new season will see Bhumika in a strange position.

The statement said, 'After swearing her allegiance to drug lord Nayak (Kishore Kumar G), Bhumi must walk the dangerous line between siding with the police or with crime, while simultaneously exploring her newfound sexual liberation, as Nayak’s larger plan unfolds.'

A new video shows the cast and crew in action filming at night in Mumbai. She also features Vishwas Kini, Kishore Kumar G, Shivani Rangole and Suhita Tatte. Ali has co-written this season with writer Divya Johri. Watch the announcement of the start of shooting She (Season 2) below.
