Bhoot Police, starring Saif Ali Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Yami Gautam, to be premiered on Disney+ Hotstar

The makers of horror-comedy Bhoot Police (2021) have opted for a digital release. The film, which stars Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam, will now be premiered directly on Disney+ Hotstar.

Bhoot Police was originally set to be released theatrically on 10 September and seemed destined to clash with the Vijay Deverakonda-starrer Liger (2021) which is due to be released on 9 September. However, as most theatres are still shut across the country, the makers seem to prefer the digital route.

A new poster gives a glimpse of Saif Ali Khan as a leather-clad ghost hunter named Vibhooti. The actor is seen holding a sharp rake which has several beaded rosaries on it, the sadhus and background imagery also indicate some sort of ritual.

Directed by Pavan Kirpalani, the film has been shot in Dalhousie and Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh and as well Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. The shoot was completed this January.

Bhoot Police is being produced by Ramesh Taurani and Akshai Puri.
