Puaada song 'Paunda Boliyaan': Catchy, happy number featuring Ammy Virk’s effortless dance moves

The Punjabi-language feature is set to be released in cinemas on 12 August.

The Punjabi-language feature film Puaada is all set to be released in cinemas on 12 August. In the run-up to the release, the songs from the Ammy Virk- and Sonam Bajwa-starrer are being released. The latest in the line-up is the foot-tapping number, 'Paunda Boliyaan'.

Filmed in a village setting, the joyous song features an ecstatic Virk dancing in his home and fields while romancing his love interest in the film, Bajwa.

The premise of the song, written and composed by Harmanjeet Singh, is the moment when Virk’s parents agree to the match. Their objection stemmed from Bajwa's character being an urban woman who would need to adjust to the simple rustic life. The song features Virk singing and dancing for joy.

Virk is light on his feet and dances effortlessly at various locations, which includes the now mandatory sarson ke khet (mustard fields) which have become synonymous with Punjab. Colourful and vibrant, both Bajwa and Virk convey their romance and happiness at being together.

Directed by first-time filmmaker Rupinder Chahal, Puaada is backed by A&A Pictures and Brat Films and is being released worldwide by Zee Studios. The song, sung with verve by Virk and Tarannum Malik, was released on YouTube yesterday and has garnered more than 1.5 million views already.

Bajwa shared news of the song's release on Instagram with her fans.
