Alia Bhatt has started shooting for her next film, Darlings, which also the maiden venture of her banner, Eternal Sunshine Productions.

The actress shared photos from her vanity van, revealing that she was nervous about kickstarting the project. The film, a dark comedy, is being co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.

Bhatt wrote, “Day one of DARLINGS! My first film as a producer but I will always be an actor first & forever (in this case a very nervous actor)."

The actress revealed that she always feels a nervous tingling all over her body the night before she begins shooting for a new project and that she has nightmares about messing up her lines and reaching the set late. "I guess this feeling will never go away," she said. "And it shouldn’t — because being nervous and feeling unsure means you really really care."

She also urged fans to wish her luck, saying "I’ll need all of it to match up to my co-actors Vijay Varma, Shefali Shah, Roshan Mathew".

Bhatt's Darlings and Gully Boy (2019) co-star Vijay Varma also shared a picture from the set. "So happy and excited to be back on a set again!" he wrote. "And for a film that I have been so stoked about for the longest time." Varma also urged fans to "wish me luck coz I’ll need it to match the roaring talents of my fellow artistes on this one". How's that for great minds thinking alike?

Darlings is the story of a mother and daughter, played by Bhatt and Shefali Shah. Varma and Roshan play pivotal characters in the film.

Bhatt had announced the project in March this year. The movie is being helmed by writer Jasmeet K Reen.
