Bhetali Tu Punha's Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Pooja Sawant return for Bhetali Ti Punha 2

The makers of the romantic Marathi movie Bhetali Tu Punha (2017) have announced a sequel titled Bhetali Ti Punha 2. Like the first film, it will star Vaibhav Tatwawaadi and Pooja Sawant. 

The first movie was released on 28 July four years ago. 

Bhetali Tu Punha was directed by Chandrakant Kanse. But the sequel will be helmed by Jayant Pawar, who is known for directing Marathi television serials. He was also the chief assistant director in Ravi Jadhav’s Timepass 2 (2015).

The first film's writer, Sanjay Jamkhandi, will pen the second one's screenplay. 

Tatwawaadi said in a statement, "I am super happy that we decided to do the sequel to the film. I am looking forward to shooting with Pooja Sawant and director Jayant Pawar." 

Bhetali Tu Punha was centred on the young Alok (Tatwawaadi) who rejects a potential bride Ashwini (Sawant) as he feels she is too traditional for his liking. But when he is travelling to Goa by train, Ashwini happens to be his co-passenger. During the journey, Alok starts developing feelings for her. 

The makers haven’t revealed if Bhetali Ti Punha 2 will take the story forward or present a fresh one.
