The investigative drama Lost (2022), which stars Yami Gautam, went on the floors in Kolkata on Sunday.
Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, and co-produced by Zee Studios and Namah Pictures, the film sees Gautam play a crime reporter and is said to “highlight the issue of media integrity”.
The actress announced the commencement of the project on social media. The film, which is being shot by cinematographer Avik Mukhopadhyay, is expected to be filmed in real locations across Kolkata and Purulia to capture “the underbelly of an urban city,” according to its makers.

Day one of the shoot seems to have taken place on the streets of Kolkata, and Gautam shared a photograph of herself in what seems to be an auditorium. This is the actress’s first project after her marriage to filmmaker Aditya Dhar in June.
Lost also stars Pankaj Kapur, Rahul Khanna, Neil Bhoopalam, Pia Bajpiee and Tushar Pandey.
Produced by Zee Studios, Shareen Mantri Kedia, Kishor Arora, Sam Fernandes and Indrani Mukherjee, the film will likely be released next year.
