Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya and Aaradhya meet Sarath Kumar’s family

Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar on Sunday took to Instagram to share pictures with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and their daughter Aaradhya who are in Puducherry where the Fanney Khan (2018) actress is shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan. The pictures have gone viral on social media. 

Varalaxmi was in Puducherry to spend time with her father Sarath Kumar, who is also shooting for Ponniyin Selvan. Aishwarya joined the sets recently. 

"Met three of the warmest and most humble people last night... none other than the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the handsome hunk Abhishek Bachchan and their sweetest daughter Aaradhya Bachchan (sic)," she wrote in the caption.

"Despite the families and lineage that they hail from, their humility and warmth was so amazing, I was just overwhelmed with their love," she wrote. "It was so sweet of you to meet us and spend time with us... may god shower all his blessings on your family," she added

Last week, the makers unveiled a new poster and announced that the first part of Ponniyin Selvan would hit the screens in 2022. 

Ponniyin Selvan is an adaptation of the historical novel of the same name by Kalki Krishnamurthy, which tells the story of Arulmozhivarman, a king of the Chola dynasty.

In the film, Aishwarya will reportedly play Nandini, the wife of Periya Pazhuvettaraiyar, who is played by Telugu actor Mohan Babu, and her speech-impaired mother, Queen Mandakini Devi. Apparently, the actress had jumped at the opportunity to play dual roles.
