The first song of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s sports drama Toofaan, titled 'Todun Taak', is a rousing rap number that showcases Farhan Akhtar's transformation from a street thug into a professional boxer. The powerful track is accompanied by montages of Farhan Akhtar's character Aziz Ali's rigorous training sessions.

The video begins with Mrunal Thakur’s character offering Aziz Ali aka Ajju Bhai two options — to remain a local goon or become a champion boxer. Of course, he chooses the latter and thus begins a painstaking training regime under the guidance of a coach played by Paresh Rawal.

The lyrics by rapper Dhaval Parab aka D'Evil encapsulate Aziz's determination to turn his life around. As with many rap songs in Hindi films nowadays, the lyrics are in typical Mumbai lingo. D'Evil's powerful voice perfectly suits this kind of rap. Dub Sharma's foot-tapping music gets you pumped up to hit the gym. It's the perfect workout song.

Toofaan will be released on Amazon Prime Video on 16 July.
