14 Phere song ‘Chamak’: Vikrant Massey goes massy with his free-flowing dance

Vikrant Massey is known for his work in unconventional projects like A Death In The Gunj (2017), Mirzapur (2018), Cargo (2020), Chhapaak (2020) and Haseen Dillruba (2021). But he tried his hand at a more 'mainstream' film Ginny Weds Sunny (2020) last year.
With 14 Phere, we can safely assume that Massey is going massy these days, more so after seeing the video for the song ‘Chamak’ from the film.
The song is like a promotional number that can be played at North Indian weddings and parties. It features the lead pair of Massey and Kriti Kharbanda as well as Gauahar Khan, another member of the cast. Although all three artistes have performed well, there is nothing new or extraordinary about this song.
The major takeaway is to see Massey opening up with some energetic dance moves. Kharbanda and Khan, as expected, do well with their dance and expressions.
Raajeev V Bhalla’s music is an amalgamation of various techno sounds that are enough to get your feet tapping. His lyrics, however, are passable. But then who expects great poetry in such dance numbers? The auto-tuning is noticeable in Bhalla, Sharvi Yadav and Pinky Maidasani’s voices.
Directed by Devanshu Singh, 14 Phere will be released on 23 July on Zee5. Watch the 'Chamak' song below and let us know if you would be keen to watch the film.
