The trailer for Abhishek Dudhaiya’s Bhuj: The Pride Of India made it clear that the film is an action saga set in the India-Pakistan war of 1971. But with a love angle in the story, there was bound to be a romantic track.
‘Hanjugam’ is one such love song involving the characters played by Ajay Devgn and Pranitha Subhash. The song has Jubin Nautiyal’s stamp all over as he successfully showcases his range as a singer.
Nautiyal shines even more when the song goes into the high-pitched zone. Lyricist Devshi Khanduri and music composer Gourov Dasgupta have kept their respective areas simple, as per the need of the situation.
‘Hanjugam’ is set in a party where Devgn’s fellow air force officers are also present with their wives and children. Devgn looked perfect as the tough officer in the trailer. Unfortunately, he doesn’t look completely at ease in the song. The age gap between him and Pranitha’s character is also evident.
The song has visuals of enemy fighter planes in between. It is revealed at the end that they bomb a place very close to the party venue. It is unclear, though, where exactly the venue is, so close to the war zone.
Also starring Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharad Kelkar and Nora Fatehi, Bhuj: The Pride Of India will be released on 13 August on Disney+ Hotstar. Watch the song below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
