Director Umesh Shukla has announced his second feature film, Aankh Micholi. Starring Abhimanyu Dassani, Mrunal Thakur and Sharman Joshi, the film will be a family entertainer.

The motion poster released by the makers captures the ensemble cast that includes Paresh Rawal, Divya Dutta, Abhishek Banerjee and Vijay Raaz.

The poster captures a wedding celebration with two families involved. The film seems to be a romantic comedy with conflict between the two families.

The previous film Shukla directed was 102 Not Out (2018), starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor.

Aankh Micholi was announced in 2020 and was supposed to be ready for release by Diwali last year. However, the COVID-19 pandemic put paid to those plans.

The film is backed by Sony Pictures, which had signed Umesh Shukla along with three other directors for a four-film deal back in 2019.

Shukla has three other projects in the pipeline, including a biopic on lawyer Ujjwal Nikam and the remake of the Tamil comedy, Oh My Kadavule (2020). The filmmaker is also producing an as yet untitled project with Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

The release date for Aankh Micholi is yet to be announced.
