Amitabh Bachchan will recite a few verses for the title track of his upcoming film Chehre (2021). The verses have been written by the film’s director, Rumy Jafry.
Music composers Vishal-Shekhar have already recorded the orchestral version of the title track in Prague in Czechia with as many as 107 musicians.
Speaking about the track, the film’s producer, Anand Pandit, said, “Shekhar Ravjiani has composed the tune beautifully. And now Amitji will lend his matchless voice and add another dimension to the track.
"He is a perfectionist and everything he does, be it a small movement before the camera, an action sequence, a close-up, a song he has to hum, or just be silent, he gives the moment his all. And I am looking forward to seeing how he delivers the poem because it is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
He added, “The film's theme, its suspense and mysterious elements all come together wonderfully in the score and now Amitji will add his own magic to it.”
Chehre was supposed to be released earlier this year, but the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic threw a wrench in the works.
The film also stars Annu Kapoor, Krystle D’Souza, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Raghuvir Yadav and Rhea Chakraborty.
