The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) is coming together with Voot Kids and Green Gold Animation to present a new adventure involving the beloved animated character, Chhota Bheem.

The new mini-series, Chhota Bheem: Adventures In Singapore, in English, Hindi and Tamil, will begin airing on the Voot Kids app today, 17 July. It aims to engage Indian children who are either on summer vacation or studying from home, and keep them safe indoors during the coronavirus pandemic.

Chhota Bheem: Adventures In Singapore, commemorating Bheem’s 11th anniversary, takes the iconic character and his gang of friends to Singapore to celebrate his birthday. Each of the seven episodes will take Bheem and his friends to a new destination in the city state.

At the HSBC Rain Vortex

From the Jewel Changi airport and HSBC Rain Vortex to the Botanical Gardens, zoo and night safari, the episodes will show viewers landmarks like the Singapore Flyer and Gardens by the Bay. The animated characters will also take in the island’s diversity, checking out the different cuisines and sights. Besides the webisodes, young fans can entertain themselves by downloading books and interactive games featuring Bheem and the gang’s Singaporean adventures on the app.

GB Srithar, regional director of the Singapore Tourism Board in India, Middle East and South Asia, hoped to entertain families in their homes by allowing them to experience a slice of Singapore virtually.

“For us, this project is all about putting happy smiles on the faces of children and families across India in these stressful times,” Srithar said. “Chhota Bheem and friends are well-loved characters who bring much cheer, hope and optimism to Indian audiences. STB is pleased to present the seven episodes as our 'Gift of Smiles' to Indian audiences.”

Voot Kids head of content and vice-president Ashutosh Parekh said of the new series launch, “Made locally and loved globally, Chhota Bheem is one of the most watched characters since the day we launched Voot Kids. This mini-series is packed with specially created 'app-i-sodes' to add diversity to our content slate.”
