Aamir Khan Productions denies allegations of littering in Ladakh

Aamir Khan Film Productions (AKP) has issued a statement seeking to debunk the claims of a Twitter user, Jigmat Ladakhi, who recently accused the Lagaan (2001) actor and the unit of his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha of littering at a village in Wakha, Ladakh during a shoot. He had shared a video where one can see trash strewn all over the site.

The film production and distributing company's statement read, “AKP would like to clarify that as a company we follow strict protocols for cleanliness in and around our shooting spaces. We have a team which makes sure that the location is kept trash-free at all times. At the end of the day, there is a re-check of the entire location. At the end of the entire schedule, we make sure that when we leave a location we leave it as clean, or cleaner than we found it.”
The statement further read, “We believe that there are some rumours/ allegations about our location not being kept clean. We strongly deny such claims. Our location is always open to relevant local authorities to carry out checks anytime that they like.”

Earlier this month, the actor announced his divorce from his wife of 15 years, Kiran Rao.
Laal Singh Chaddha is the official Hindi remake of the acclaimed Hollywood film Forrest Gump (1994). Directed by Advait Chandan, it also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Chaitanya Akkineni.
