The highly anticipated first look and motion poster for Ajith’s Valimai were finally unveiled on Sunday. This was the first major update from the makers in the two years since the project went on the floor.
Over the past year, fans of Ajith have been relentlessly seeking updates about the project. The long wait came to an end on Sunday when the makers released the posters and motion poster without any announcement.
Producer Boney Kapoor took to Twitter to unveil the motion poster and multiple posters.

Being directed by H Vinoth, the film also stars Huma Qureshi and is being produced by Kapoor, who has reunited with Ajith after Nerkonda Paarvai (2019), the official Tamil remake of Taapsee Pannu's Pink (2016). Kartikeya is the antagonist in Valimai.
Last February, Ajith suffered an injury on the sets while shooting a bike sequence. "Ajith was shooting for a bike-chase sequence in the city when his vehicle skidded. In the process, he bruised his arms and legs. The actor took a break of about 20 minutes and continued shooting for his portions. Only after he wrapped up the shoot did he visit his family doctor," a source had said at the time.
At a recent award ceremony, Kapoor revealed that Ajith plays a cop in the film. Sources have confirmed that an international stunt choreographer has been roped in to supervise certain action sequences.
Originally planned as a big release for Diwali 2020, the project is likely to hit the screens during the festival of lights this year.
Meanwhile, reports have emerged that Ajith will team up with filmmaker Sudha Kongara next for a yet-untitled Tamil project.
