14 Phere trailer: This perfect wedding where Vikrant Massey, Kriti Kharbanda get hitched requires two takes

In the upcoming Zee5 film, a couple devises a sneak plan to complete their happily-ever-after.

Sanjay (Vikrant Massey) and Aditi (Kriti Kharbanda), who belong to different communities and are astrologically incompatible, meet as students in university and end up dating and eventually living together, all without their parents’ knowledge.

In order to make their bond official, they cook up an elaborate plan, which involves hiring theatre actors to play their parents, to hoodwink each other's families into giving their consent to the union. The colourful Jameel Khan and Gauahar Khan — deemed to be ‘Delhi ki Meryl Streep — are roped in to play Sanjay's father and mother respectively when he has to meet Aditi's kin. The thespians are also tasked with playing Aditi's parents when she has to meet Sanjay's folk. If this weren't enough, the couple also bribes a money-minded astrologer into fabricating favourable birth charts.

With such a complicated setup, things are bound to fall apart eventually. The madcap wedding comedy, written by Manoj Kalwani, promises mayhem and laughs, once the romance between Sanjay and Aditi is settled.

We will find out whether Sanjay and Aditi pass with flying colours on 23 July. Directed by Devanshu Singh, the film also stars Yamini Das and veteran actor Vineet Kumar.
