The young actor also has the sequel to family drama Apne in his kitty.

After making his acting debut in father and Bharatiya Janata Party MP Sunny Deol’s directorial venture Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas (2019), Karan Deol bagged Anil 'Gadar' Sharma’s sequel to his emotional family drama Apne (2007).

The young actor now has another film in the kitty in the form of Velley. According to a statement from the makers, the film is a crime comedy about three friends and will be directed by first-time filmmaker Deven Munjal.

Karan shared his first look from the film yesterday on Instagram before traveling to Delhi to start shooting for the project. He captioned the picture, “New look, new beginnings!”

The actor is returning to work after an extended break on account of the pandemic-induced lockdowns since March last year. “The lockdown was tough on all of us, but it’s important to slowly, safely restart," he said in a statement. "I am excited and looking forward to getting back to shoot life. Working on something really different this time with a young enthusiastic team. Can’t wait to share details soon.”

Karan is part of the additions to the cast of Apne 2 and joins father Sunny Deol, uncle Bobby Deol and grandfather Dharmendra on the project.

Karan’s brother Rajveer Deol is also set to make his debut as an actor. He is playing the lead in an yet-untitled film by Rajshri Productions, to be directed by Sooraj Barjatya’s son Avnish Barjatya.
