Irrfan Khan’s unreleased film Dubai Return to be premiered at Bandra Film Festival

The whacky comedy, which also stars Vijay Maurya, Ritu Shivpuri and the late Razak Khan, was directed by Aditya Bhattacharya.

The late Irrfan Khan’s unreleased film Dubai Return will have its Indian premiere at the ongoing Bandra Film Festival (BFF) on 3 July. The movie can be seen for free on the official YouTube channel of the festival, which is organized by FilmKaravan.

Apart from Khan, the film, which is a whacky comedy, also stars Vijay Maurya, Ritu Shivpuri and the late Razak Khan. Dubai Return was directed by Aditya Bhattacharya whose debut film Raakh (1989), which starred Aamir Khan, has also been screened at the same festival

Writer Aseem Chhabra recently joined the advisory board of the BFF of which actor Abhay Deol is a member. It was he who suggested the premiere of Dubai Return.

Chhabra said in a statement, “I have had a long association with the FilmKaravan team and respect their commitment to independent cinema. So I am thrilled to join the Bandra Film Festival’s advisory board. I look forward to working with the BFF team to scout for deserving titles and share with the audience.”

A few days ago, we talked about our favourite films from years past that we should showcase and he mentioned some fantastic titles, including Aditya Basu Bhattacharya’s Dubai Return, starring the irreplaceable Irrfan Khan. I am thrilled that he is coming on board as an advisory board member of the Bandra Film Festival, so we can continue to bring the best of cinema for everyone.”
