Shreya Dhanwanthary to join Taapsee Pannu, Tahir Raj Bhasin in Looop Lapeta

The makers of Aakash Bhatia’s Looop Lapeta have revealed Scam 1992 and The Family Man actress Shreya Dhanwanthary will star alongside the lead pair, Taapsee Pannu and Tahir Raj Bhasin. The film is the official Hindi remake of the German thriller Run Lola Run (1998). 

The makers of Loop Lapeta have said that they were looking for a popular and strong actress to match up to Pannu and Bhasin, who play Savi and Satya respectively. 

Speaking about her casting, Dhanwanthary said in a statement, “The part offered to me was so delicious I couldn’t say no. I took my first steps with Tanuj [Garg] and Atul [Kasbekar] from Ellipsis [with Why Cheat India (2019)]. The title is so loopy. And because I am always itching to try something new and crazy, which is what Looop Lapeta is! I've watched the original. Boy, Franka Potente can run!” 

Run Lola Run told the story of a girl who has to generate a large amount of money in just 20 minutes to save her boyfriend’s life. 

Looop Lapeta is scheduled to be released this year.
