Malayalam anthology movie Aanum Pennum is premiered on 3 OTT platforms at once

The multi-starrer Malayalam anthology movie, Aanum Pennum, was releasing simultaneously on three OTT platforms on 30 June. The announcement was made without fanfare or advertisement.

The movie is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, NeeStream and Koode. The movie, which was released in theatres in March, has a star-studded ensemble cast that includes Samyuktha Menon, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Asif Ali, Joju George, Roshan Mathew, Indrajith and Darshana Rajendran.

Aanum Pennum is an anthology film with three segments. Director Venu has helmed the segment called Rachiyamma, which is based on iconic Malayalam writer Uroob’s novel of the same name. The segment titled Savithri has been directed by Jay K while the one titled Rani has been helmed by Aashiq Abu.

This is not the first time a Malayalam film was released simultaneously on multiple streaming platforms without much fanfare. Last month, Aarkkariyam, starring Parvathy Thiruvothu with Biju Menon and Sharaf U Dheen, was released on as many as six streaming platforms on the same day.
