Vidyut Jammwal-starrer The Power to be released on ZeePlex on 14 January


The gangster drama, directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, also stars Shruti Haasan.

The Power (2021), starring Vidyut Jammwal and Shruti Haasan, is set to have its digital premiere on ZeePlex on 14 January. The long-delayed gangster drama went on the floors in April 2018.

The film, directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, will be available on the pay-per-view platform for Rs199.

The feature marks Manjrekar’s return to Hindi cinema as director. He last helmed City Of Gold - Mumbai 1982 (2010), which was a drama centred on the mill workers of Mumbai. The film was also released in Marathi as Lalbaug Parel (2010).

The filmmaker is also directing the upcoming Antim - The Final Truth (2021) starring Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma. The film is a Hindi remake of the Marathi film Mulshi Pattern (2018), in which Manjrekar had a supporting role.

The Power explores the themes of hate and revenge. The feature is set in the 1990s and revolves a couple who get embroiled in a family feud.
