Back in 2019, T-Series announced the acting debut of Khushali Kumar, the sister of the record label and film production company's chairman and managing director, Bhushan Kumar, alongside R Madhavan. However, it was later decided that she would be launched in Kookie Gulati's new project. The film, a thriller, has now gone on the floors with Aparshakti Khurana, R Madhavan and Khushali joining the crew.

Set to be directed by Ashwin Neal Mani, Dahi Cheeni, the film in which Khushali was to make her debut, was reportedly scrapped after differences arose over the final script.
Gulati is currently helming the web-series The Big Bull, which stars Abhishek Bachchan and Ileana D'Cruz. The series is based on the life of controversial stockbroker Harshad Mehta.
Meanwhile, Madhavan's Amazon Prime original Tamil film Maara released today.
