In Rashmi Rocket, Pannu plays a villager whose speed in track and field takes her to the top. The film, which was delayed last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has been filmed in Pune, Maharashtra, and Ranchi, Jharkhand, and shooting is expected to wrap in Gujarat later this month.
Pannu, who has been training hard in the gym for the role, revealed that the feature was halfway done last week. The actress overcame an injury to train for and shoot her scenes on the track.
Pathak has starred as the matriarch of the Bhargava family in Ramprasad Ki Tehrvri (2021). She will also be seen in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Toofan later this year.
The sports drama has been scripted by Nanda Periyasamy, Aniruddha Guha and Kanika Dhillon. Rashmi Rocket is being directed by Akarsh Khurana and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, along with Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya.
