New The Family Man teaser hints at arrival of Samantha Akkineni's character

Amazon Prime Video has released a new teaser for the second season of The Family Man, which hints at the presence of Samantha Akkineni's character. The web-series sees an intelligence officer, played by Manoj Bajpayee, take on a mighty villain.

The makers had recently released a poster to reveal the release date of the second season. The poster featured a ticking time bomb — a carryover from the last season — that bore the digits 12-02-2021 (12 February 2021). 

The new teaser focuses squarely on Bajpayee's character, Srikant Tiwari, with a mission map displayed behind him on the wall. As the teaser ends the threads on the map, which are fastened by drawing pins, join to form the outline of Samantha's face.

However, the actress' role is unknown.

The tagline to the teaser ''Srikant mission ke peeche aur villain Srikant ke peeche!' (Srikant is on a mission, and the villain is on Srikant's tail) hints at something ominous. 

Samantha later tweeted cryptically, "This time no one is safe! #Who is Raji? Chehre ke peeche chehra, raaz hai ismein gehra!'

Season 1 of the series won the Best Direction, Best Actor, Best Drama Series, and Best Original Screenplay Awards at the 2020 Asian Academy Creative Awards. 

The second season of The Family Man will feature Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi and Shreya Dhanwanthary.

The series will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video from 12 February.
