The short introduction video features Sharma struggling to learn his lines in English as he tries to introduce his new collaboration with Netflix. It has the same casual, cynical style that is now common to Sharma's style of comedy.
In a statement, the actor said, "I am super excited for my first-ever association with Netflix. Last year has been a bumpy ride for everyone around the world and my motive is to make people forget their worries and welcome this new year with love, laughter and positivity. I always wanted to be on Netflix but I didn’t have their number (laughs). It’s a project close to my heart and I cannot wait to share more details with my fans soon."
The OTT platform has had several special series with comedians namely Vir Das, Kanan Gill, Amit Tandon, Prashasti Singh and Kaneez Surka, among others.
Sharma is currently known for his television show, The Kapil Sharma Show, which has been on air since 2016.
