Ali Abbas Zafar ties the knot in private ceremony

Ahead of the launch of his new web-series Tandav on Amazon Prime Video, Ali Abbas Zafar has revealed that he had tied the knot in a private ceremony on New Year's Day.

The filmmaker shared a photograph of his wife Alicia and him holding hands, which was captioned, “Bismillah”. Actors such as Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Angad Bedi and good friend and frequent collaborator Katrina Kaif congratulated the Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) director and wished him happy married life.

Later, he shared another photograph of his bride and him, which he captioned: "1400 years ago Imam Ali said to Fatimah Al- Zahra’s, all my worries and sadness disappears when I look at your face, I feel the same Alicia Zafar. Mine for life (sic)." 

Several figures from the Hindi film industry, including actresses Bhumi Pednekar, Disha Patani and Ananya Panday, congratulated the couple in the comments.

Besides Tandav, Zafar is planning a superhero film with Kaif and is producing a trilogy on Mr India with Zee Studios. He co-produced Khaali Peeli (2020) last year, which starred Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday.
