The cast already included Amitabh Bachchan, Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, Angira Dhar and Aakanksha Singh. Shooting for Mayday began in December in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The film sees Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh play pilots while Bachchan, Dhar and Aakanksha Singh's characters have been kept under wrap so far.
This is Devgn's second film as director after Shivaay (2016) and is described by the makers as a “thrilling, absolute edge-of-the-seat human drama”. The film is slated to be released in theatres on 29 April 2022.
