1962: War In The Hills teaser: Abhay Deol is an army major in this story about valour

Abhay Deol will be seen in the role of an army major in the Mahesh Manjrekar-directed web-series 1962: The War in The Hills, which is based on the Indo-China conflict. On the occasion of the country’s 72nd Republic Day, Disney+ Hotstar launched the series’ teaser.

The clip begins with news headlines about the contemporary tensions between India andChina and the Galwan Valley clash. It then turns back the clock to 1962.

Deol, as an army major, is seen fighting against 3,000 Chinese soldiers with only 125 comrades. 

The first thing that grabs your attention in this short teaser is the production values, especially the crisp cinematography. At least from the technical perspective, the series looks very promising.

Deol was recently seen in the Netflix film What Are The Odds? (2020) and also seen in the web-series JL50 (2020) alongside Pankaj Kapur and Piyush Mishra, which was released on SonyLiv.

The war drama will be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar VIP from 26 February.
