Marathi artistes Siddharth Chandekar and Mitali Mayekar got married yesterday in a grand ceremony at Dhepe Wada in Pune. The couple had got engaged in 2019 and were supposed to tie the knot last year but couldn’t because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The two have been sharing pictures of their journey on Instagram.

Quite a few figures from the Marathi film industry attended the wedding, including actresses such as Sai Tamhankar, Pooja Sawant, Gayatri Datar, Kshitee Jog, Isha Keskar and Abhidnya Bhave; the actors Bhushan Pradhan, Umesh Kamat and Rishi Saxena; and filmmaker Hemant Dhome.

Speaking about her wedding, Mayekar told the Times of India newspaper last year, “Siddharth and I always wanted our wedding to be a grand one. We want all our friends and family members to be a part of the big day. And all this is not possible in the current scenario. So, we thought it would be logical to postpone the wedding. Plus, we don’t intend to get married in a year like 2020. We will tie the knot when the situation is better next year.”

On the work front, Chandekar was last seen in the television series, Sanga Tu Ahes Ka while Mayekar’s last project was Aamhi Befikar (2019).
