Metro Park 2 trailer: Modern life flusters Ranvir Shorey

Ranvir Shorey is back with his impeccable comic timing in the second season of the underrated series Metro Park.

The new trailer sees the already-complex Gujarati family that is coming to terms with life in the United States undergoing changes. 

The second season reintroduces us to store owner Kalpesh Patel (Shorey) whose wife, Payal (Purbi Joshi), is attempting to become a social media star. Even as he tries to cope with this virtual annoyance, another one, his mother-in-law, lands up at his house in literal robot form. Meanwhile, Kinjal (Vega Tamotia) and her husband Kannan (Omi Vaidya) are trying to get their little boy admitted to a kindergarten school. 

Shorey seems to have grown into the role and has a more natural presence in the second season. With a cast of Gopal Datt, Pitobash Tripathy, and Omi Vaidya, the comic flavour is a given. Yet it is Shorey as the hassled, annoyed leader of the pack that truly catches your attention.

The series is being directed by Abi Varghese and Ajayan Venugopalan and will be streamed on Eros Now.
