The film Thank God, which stars Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh, went on the floors on Thursday in Mumbai after a mahurat shot. Directed by Indra Kumar, the film is being produced by T-Series and Maruti International Production.
The mahurat shot was clapped in the presence of Malhotra, T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar, producers Ashok Thakeria and Anand Pandit.
Describing the film, a note from the makers said, “Unlike any of Indra Kumar's previous blockbusters, Thank God will be a newer avatar with laughter and a beautiful message at the end which will connect with families and be relatable in today's world.”
Earlier in the month, Kumar had spoken about the film saying, “It is an entertaining slice-of-life comedy with a message and I am quite excited to be working again with Ajay Devgn whom I’ve known for so many years along with the young guns Sidharth and Rakul. I am also happy to join hands with Bhushan Kumar and the T-Series team. Hopefully, it all goes well as we have taken all the necessary precautions. Looking forward to a great 2021.”
Kumar’s last movie Total Dhamaal (2019), which was a box office hit, also had Devgn as one of the lead actors.
