Isabelle Kaif cast opposite Pulkit Samrat in Suswagatam Khushaamadeed

Isabelle Kaif has been roped in to play the lead alongside Pulkit Samrat in the film Suswagatam Khushaamadeed. The film has been conceived as an entertainer with an underlying message of social unity and harmony. Samrat is expected to play the role of a young man from Delhi, while Kaif will take on the role of an Agra native named Noor. 

The duo recently shot a dandiya raas song choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. Kaif was expected to make her debut in 2020 with Kwatha, opposite Aayush Sharma. However, due to the pandemic among other things, the film has remained on the backburner.

Speaking about his co-star, Samrat said, "I must say that our chemistry is quite dhamakedaar [explosive]. People on the set say that we look like a patakha [firework] together. Isabelle has brought fresh energy to the set. She’s extremely hard-working and has impressed everyone on the set. She is stunning and brings a streak of innocence to her character. She has left me mesmerised.”

The song choreographed by Acharya, 'Ban Piya', featured 400 background dancers. Speaking about the shoot, the choreographer said, "The song is a mix of a jagrata and dandiya dance and the leading couple has done justice to it. I know Pulkit is a fantastic dancer, but Isabelle surprised me as she is new, but she learned the steps with ease. The two rehearsed for several days, and the romance and the chemistry that comes across on the screen is perfect!”

Suswagatam Khushaamadeed, which was written by Manish Kishore and is being helmed by Dhiraj Kumar, is being produced by Insite India and Endemol Shine India in association with Yellow Ant Productions.
