Shooting for Swwapnil Joshi-starrer Samantar 2 wraps up

The shoot of the second season of the Marathi web-series Samantar wrapped up on Tuesday.

The series stars Swwapnil Joshi and features Nitish Bharadwaj and Tejaswini Pandit. 

Joshi shared the news on Facebook while speaking about his relationship with the owners of the production banner Gseams, Kartik Nishandar and Arjun Singgh Baran. 

“Samantar 2 wrapped up! Three friends. Eight years. 10+ projects. And Still going strong. Thnxs buoys for all the love! We watch over each other’s backs, we stick around. We hustle hard. We grow. Here's to better tomorrows and brighter day afters! Love and bro hugs! (sic)” he wrote. 

The actor also shared a picture of the crew and himself celebrating the end of the shoot with a cake. Bharadwaj and director Sameer Vidwans are also visible in the picture. The first season was helmed by Satish Rajwade. 

Samantar is based on the book of the same name by author Suhas Shirwalkar. The first season revolved around the character Kumar Mahajan (Joshi), who learns from an astrologer (Jayant Savarkar) that the lines of his palms are similar to that of a man named Sudarshan Chakrapani (Bharadwaj). 

Mahajan believes that as Chakrapani is much older than him, his fate could follow the trajectory of the other man's past. Hence, the protagonist goes on a search for Chakrapani in order to learn what lies in store for him.
