Dhaakad poster: Arjun Rampal channels inner evil warlord

After introducing lead actress Kangana Ranaut as the ferocious Agent Agni, the makers of Dhaakad (2021) have unveiled the first look of another character — the espionage thriller's antagonist Rudraveer — who is played by Arjun Rampal.

Rampal on Tuesday shared the poster of himself in character on social media. Wearing a leather jacket, sunglasses and a beret, the tattooed Rudraveer is seen in a relaxed pose with a large rifle.

Speaking about his new role, Rampal stated, “I am really looking forward to start shooting for Dhaakad. I play a never attempted before character, an antagonist who is deadly and cool, all at once. As an actor, I am constantly on the look-out for parts that challenge me. Dhaakad is definitely going to help me explore a different side to me.”

Japanese cinematographer Tetsuo Nagata will be shooting the action film. The spy thriller is directed by Razneesh 'Razy' Ghai and produced by Deepak Mukut and Sohel Maklai. Dhaakad is due to be released on 1 October 2021.
