The Punjabi language film Puaada, starring Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa, is slated to be the first Punjabi film to be released in cinemas this year. The title of the film roughly translates to mess or trouble, and the comedy-romance drama seems to be a family entertainer. The film is expected to hit the screens on 11 March 2021.
Helmed by first-time director Rupinder Chahal, the film is being produced by Atul Bhalla, Pawan Gill, Anurag Singh, Aman Gill and Balwinder Singh Janjua. Zee Studios will be releasing the film and has acquired worldwide rights.

Puaada was initially set to be released in the summer of June 2020, but the film was pushed due to the pandemic. The film is being backed by A&A Pictures and Brat Films, the two companies that also produced the blockbuster hit Shadaa (2019) starring Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa.
