Ambernath Marathi Film Festival invites entries for the sixth edition

The festival will be organized by Ambar Bharari and Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal.

The Ambernath Marathi Film Festival, which is organized by Ambar Bharari and Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal, has invited submissions for its sixth edition.

Entries have been invited from films, short films and documentaries made in 2020. Like in previous editions, the festival will accept both released and unreleased films.

The festival has also announced some awards. Senior actress Jyoti Chandekar will get the Lifetime Achievement award while veteran actor Shrikant Moghe will receive the Special Honours award for his contribution to cinema. Senior editor VN Mayekar and film journalist Ganesh Awchal will also be felicitated at the event.

Well-known scriptwriter and director Mahendra Patil has been appointed the festival director. Sunil Chaudhari is the founder and Nikhil Chaudhari the organizer of this film festival.

Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic-induced restrictions, the organizers are yet to decide the dates for the festival and whether it will be held in physical or virtual formats.
