Love stories are arguably incomplete without music or poetry. The first song of the Pranav Raorane and Nakshatra Medhekar-starrer Preetam titled 'Tuzya Rupacha Chandana'  is an out-and-out and romantic track that defines the first love.

The romantic ballad has been sung by the brilliant Shankar Mahadevan who is in top form here. Mahadevan has not been prolific during the past few years but with this song, he once again proves why he is considered to be among the best singers we have today. The singer, with his impeccable control, elevates composer Viswajith CT's soulful tune. Pay special attention to the melodious flute which accompanies Mahadevan beautifully. Guru Thakur's lyrics also deserve a special mention. Although at first, the lyrics might seem too complex, their meaning dawns upon you after a couple of listens.

The song's visuals focus on Raorane and Medhekar's characters, showcasing their burgeoning affection for each other.

Raorane is clearly smitten and he takes advantage of every opportunity to get a glimpse of his beloved.

Preetam has been directed by Malayalam filmmaker Sijo Rocky and produced by Wizard Productions. The film will be released in cinemas on 19 February.
