Janhvi Kapoor bags role in Aanand L Rai production Good Luck Jerry; see first look

Actress Janhvi Kapoor has bagged a role in the Aanand L Rai production Good Luck Jerry. The movie marks of the big-screen debut of director Siddharth Sengupta. The film, which stars Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashishth, Neeraj Sood and Sushant Singh, went on the floors in Punjab today. 

The news and the film’s first look were shared by veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Twitter on Monday. “Janhvi Kapoor in Aanand L Rai production. Janhvi Kapoor to star in Good Luck Jerry. Shoot begins in Punjab today. First schedule will continue till March 2021. Directed by Siddharth Sengupta. Presented by Subaskaran and Aanand L Rai (sic),” he wrote. 

Rai is known for making films set in small towns in North India, and Good Luck Jerry appears to be another addition to the list. The still shows a smiling Kapoor walking through the market area of a small town. Her attire suggests that she plays a middle-class girl.

Sengupta directed the web-series Apharan (2018) for ALTBalaji in 2018. He was also the creator and producer of the acclaimed SonyLIV series Undekhi, which came out last year.
