Bhausaheb Shinde, Gayatri Jadhav-starrer Rajkumar to be released on 23 April

The film, which is said to be a love story, also stars Shrinivas Pokale, Devika Daftardar and Pravin Tarde.

Director Samarth Raj Ediga’s Marathi movie Rajkumar will be released in theatres on 23 April. The film was supposed to be out last year but the project was impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent shutdown of theatres.

Rajkumar stars Bhusaheb Shinde and Gayatri Jadhav. The on-screen couple received acclaim in their last film Baban (2018), which was a surprise hit. Although not much is known about Rajkumar, the makers have said that it is a love story.

The film’s first poster, which was released last evening, features a female police officer draped in a saree.

Child actor Shrinivas Pokale plays a pivotal role in the film. He had become the talk of the town after the release of his first film Naal (2018), which was a critical and commercial success. Other well-known actors like Devika Daftardar and Pravin Tarde also star in supporting roles.

Archana Jois got noticed in the multi-lingual KGF Chapter 1 (2018) as the mother of the child version of Yash’s character Rocky.
