National Award-winning Marathi actor Upendra Limaye, who is known for his performances in films such as Jogwa (2009), Dhag (2014) and Mulshi Pattern (2018), will be seen in Malayalam filmmaker Sijo Rocky's maiden Marathi film Preetam.
In the film, Limaye will be seen playing the role of the musician. Recently, the makers shared a behind-the-scenes picture of Limaye from the sets of the film in which he is seen playing the harmonium. The actor has also shot for a song which showcases the beauty of the Konkan.
Limaye, who is known for his dramatic roles in Marathi films, has also featured in a few Hindi films such as Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai (2020).
Along with Limaye, Preetam stars a new lead pair in Pranav Raorane, Nakshtra Medhekar. Vishwajit Palav, Asmita Khatke. Nayan Jadhav, Ananda Karekar appear in supporting roles in the film.
The film's screenplay and dialogues have been written by Ganesh Pandit. Produced by Wizard Productions, Preetam will be released in cinemas on 19 February.
