Rajasthan International Film Festival organizers release second list of selected films


The Marathi film Prawaas starring Ashok Saraf and Padmini Kolhapure will be screened at the festival.

The 7th edition of the Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF) is all set to be organised in a hybrid format from 20 to 24 March 2021 in Jaipur and Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

The organizers of the festival released the second list of selected films which includes the Funeral by Vivek Dubey, Bharat Majha Desh Aahe (India Is My Country) by Pandurang Krishna Jadhav, Prawaas by Shashank Udapurkar, Priyo Chinar Pata Iti Segun (Fire of Teak Flame of Chinar) directed by Kumar Chowdhury, Balconit Bhogawan (God on the Balcony) by Biswajeet Bora, Kraanthiveera by Adath MP and Daari Yavudayya Vaikuntake (The Way to Paradise) by Siddu Poornachandra.

The short film selection includes Dementia — The Unforgettable Forgetfulness by Rahul Sood, Qurbani by Dr Kumar Rajiv, Roshni by Ravi Sachdev and Bhavin Mandaviya, Resonance by Sreedevi Unni, Anaara by Rishi Prakash Mishra, Washing Machine by Anand Singh Chouhan and The Makeup Artist by Raghav G Tiwari, among others.

The international films include the short Sergei and the Apprehensive Fool by Shubhankar Deshpande and the feature films My Indian Boyfriend by Sri Kishore and Entre Deux Trains (Long Time No See) by Pierre Filmon. 

This year, the theme of the RIFF 2021 is ‘Music in Cinema’ and the festival will present a selection of music videos that will be screened for the audience.

The film submissions for the festival are underway and the deadline is 28 February 2021.
