Kangana Ranaut evokes goddess of death in new Dhaakad stills

Stills from Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film, Dhaakad, see the actress in leather, holding a machine gun. Ranaut reportedly plays a spy in the film, which is directed by Razneesh Ghai. 

The new stills were shared by Ranaut on her social media platforms.

The actress wrote, "They call her Agni... the brave one. I say she is my depiction of Bhairavi the goddess of death."

The actress' get-up brings to mind the Marvel Comics character Black Widow, who is also a spy. This is a departure from earlier stills which saw the actress wielding a sword or firing guns.

The film will feature Divya Dutta and Arjun Rampal. The film also marks writer Ritesh Shah's first collaboration with Ranaut. 

Dhaakad was announced back in 2019 but is set to be released in theatres on 1 October. Produced by Sohel Maklai and Deepak Mukut, the film's cast also includes international cinematographer Tetsuo Nagata.
