Can you get away with murder? Drishyam 2 (2021) explores what happens to Georgekutty and his family after the events depicted in the 2013 Malayalam blockbuster, which dealt with the protagonist's attempts to cover up a killing.
Written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, the sequel reacquaints viewers with Georgekutty and his family a few years after the events that took place in the 2013 film. While the patriarch and his kin have been acquitted, the scent of scandal still surrounds them.

The drama brings back Meena as Georgekutty's wife Rani and sees other artistes like Siddique, Asha Sharath, Ansiba and Esther reprising their roles. Murali Gopy and Saikumar are the new additions to the cast.
